Green haze
The essence of this disease is the accumulation of intraocular fluid inside the eye. This causes an increase in intraocular pressure and damage to the optic nerve and other structures of the eye. One important cause is the disruption of epigenetic reactions, especially histone modification and regulation by microRNAs. However, it can also be a manifestation of certain diseases (high blood pressure, diabetes, thyroid disease) or the use of drugs (corticosteroids).
