Migraine is characterised by severe headaches, usually accompanied by hypersensitivity to light and noise, nausea and even vomiting. In addition, migraine increases the risk of cardiovascular disease.

Migraine is partly genetic, but epigenetic changes, stress and inflammation also play a role. Especially in women, hormones can also play a role – migraine often occurs during or before menstruation.
